A.J. DeLoach writes fiction about young people with heart. He gravitates toward unsung heroes and characters who are flawed but always trying to be better as they navigate a complex world. After a youth spent devouring Animorphs, Goosebumps, and Gary Paulsen books, he’s always envisioned “paying it forward” and providing the same thrilling experience for young readers that he was lucky to receive.

An IT professional by trade, A.J. currently resides in Maryland with his wonderful fiancée and sweet (albeit needy) black cat. When he’s not buried in a book or his writing, you may find him piecing together some new mobile app or fixing one he’s already managed to break.
